The gap between the King and Bralorne mines has never been explored. Drifting stopped there in the 1930s when operators reached the end of their property boundary. Today, with all the gap area owned by Bralorne Gold Mines, we are opening new ground by drilling. Dependent upon drill results, we anticipate drifting to confirm grade and tonnage.

The Bonanza hole SB-06-109B was the first hole drilled into this gap area. As the intersections occurred within the favorable Bralorne Intrusive rock units, the company's geology staff considered the results quite significant. The area of the Bonanza intercepts was within 122m (400 ft) of existing workings in the 800 level, so the decision was made to rehabilitate the workings and drill into this area from underground.

The 3-D diagram at right shows where the current underground drilling is taking place at the end of the King Drift in the King-Bralorne gap. The recent high-grade intersections have begun to outline the new BK Zone, highlighted by Hole SB-06-109B, reported in July 2006.
