Latest Development: June 20, 2008

To access the BK structure a cross cut from the Alhambra drift was started on January 7 and intersected the BK structure at a distance of 310 feet on February 9. Following a further 40 foot advance of the crosscut, to facilitate mining equipment, drifting on the vein structure in a mine grid easterly direction has commence and is expected to continue for a distance of at least 1500 feet.

You can view the latest assay results for the new BK drifting program at the bottom of this page.

Assay Results: March 17,2008

At 110 feet (or approximately the DDH UB07-22 intercept -- 0.128oz/t Au), the zone merged into a single structure with a quartz vein on the left and a foliated stringer zone on the right. The width of the zone is averaging roughly 4.5 feet, with face samples ranging from 124.8 gm/t (4.01 oz/t) Au across 4 feet to 2.8 gm/t (0.09oz/t) Au across 4.5 feet.

Assay Results: May 5, 2008

The first section, starting at 300 feet from the crosscut and running for a length of 134 feet, has an average width of 5.45 feet (using historical minimum mining width of 4 feet) with a weighted average grade of 0.842 oz/ton Au. The vein structure itself varied from 0.5 to 9 feet in width; averaging 4.09 feet at a weighted grade of 1.21 oz/ton Au. This is followed by 37.5 feet of low grade material, 0.019 oz/ton across 4 feet before the second zone with a length of 81 feet and using a minimum 4 foot mining width, which gives a weighted cut grade of 0.525 oz/ton Au. (3 of the 10 faces sampled returned assays of: 4.425 oz/t across 1.4 feet; 9.959 oz/t across 2.3 feet; and 13.259 oz/ton across 1.4 feet. These values were cut to 2.916 oz/ton across respective vein widths for the cut grade calculation. The uncut grade is 1.283oz/ton.)
